MEPS (P-1)

okay...this is what that title means:
MEPS- Military Enlistment Processing Station (P-1) Processing day-1

Today is Scott's first P-day (processsing day) He started his day at 0430... had breakfast at 0500 and was to MEPS at 0600 for his medical exam and to be sworn in (again) He was doing paperwork and what not until about 1130 when he was taken to the airport. He will be sitting at the airport until 1600 (4pm) when his flight leaves for Chicago.

I'm just anxiously waiting for my first phone call for the day...and once he gets to Chicago will again be anxiously waiting for my last phone call for at least a week. Saying g'bye to my incredible husband was more difficult than I can even begin to explain. . .Watching Scott say goodbye to our baby-violet, (kissing my belly and talking to her) was one of the most tender moments! We had a wonderful last day together, we slept in and just held each other for several hours, and then went to a movie, (Blind-Side *AMAZING*) and then headed up to Salt Lake where we had dinner at the Blue Iguana (very yummy. Scott hadnt ever been there.) and then we drove around temple square. We didnt have time to get out and walk around...it was still beautiful. Then I dropped him off at the hotel Raddison and said g'bye (for now). All in all it was fantastic to spend the day with my best friend.
This new adventure is going to be amazing for Scott (and for Violet and I) and we will be so blessed! We're both very excited, nervus, and anxious! I would appreciate all the prayers in Scott's behalf...it will be a rough 8 weeks during training.

Once Scott arrives at Basic-Training in Great Lakes Illinois he will have about a 90 second phone call to me to let me know he arrived and is safe...then he will have to turn his phone off, and stick it in "The Box" along with all the clothes that he arrived wearing. Then they will be sent home to me... then I'll have his mailing address and I'll post it so you can all write him...(PLEASE WRITE...he will love to hear from you!!!) Then after that is done he will be sworn in again (If I remember correctly) and put into his division. He won't get any sleep for about 24 hrs. . . There is just so much paper-work and whatever else they do. As soon as I get his first letter I'll let you know how the rest of the week went.

Thanks again for all your support! We love you all!
